NNPC Retail Launches AutoGas

Mr. Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), says the corporation will provide free conversion services to enable automobiles switch from Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to autogas. He mentioned this during the launch of the CNG/Autogas at the NNPC Retail Station, Lugbe Abuja.

There is a primary role to provide the conversion kits for our vehicles until private sector can come in. This is a service to Nigerians and as a business to the corporation, he said.

The 1 million cars to be converted as promised will be done through a structure that the Ministry of Petroleum Resources will put in place to ensure that any Nigerian who has to convert his car will get it done free of charge.

The GMD explained that the service will be available in NNPC retail stations nationwide, especially in states with existing autogas service stations. States include Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi, Kwara, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo,Edo, Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa.
